Who we are

ICOUL San José 2025 is co-organized by the Tecnológico de Costa Rica, an autonomous national institution of university higher education with 52 years of experience and dedicated to teaching, research and the extension of technology and related sciences for the development of Costa Rica, through its School of Architecture and Urban Planning; and by WTTC (World Trade Technical Consulting), a Spanish company formed by professionals with extensive experience in managing the urban landscape of Barcelona at the end of the 20th century.

The fourth edition of the ICOUL Congress, following those held with great success in São Paulo 2015, Barcelona 2017 and Barcelona 2023, will bring together experts in urban management from different disciplines in the capital of Costa Rica who will share experiences that demonstrate the capacity of the urban landscape to, through the collective values that characterize it and public-private collaboration, maintain and regenerate itself by intelligently using the resources generated by its use.

Furthermore, after the death of Ferran Ferrer Viana, creator and promoter of the "Barcelona posa't guapa" campaign and co-organizer of the ICOUL congresses, this fourth edition and the following ones will be especially dedicated to his memory.
